By Mike McCoy There are a number of reasons for difficulties with memory; these include such factors as trauma, poor health, the normal process of aging, and others. Regardless of each person's own individual contributing factor, difficulties with memory are a real problem for many people. As a result, when a person's memory is not up to par, many other problems can ensue.
Whether the situation involves general forgetfulness or serious memory blocks, it can lead to very negative effects on nearly every aspect of life-- one's job, personal relationships, learning, and basic functioning abilities can all be significantly impaired by memory difficulties. You may have trouble with your short-term memory, your long-term memory, or disturbances in your memory such as blocks. If you have experienced any of these problems, you are probably already aware of the negative impact they can cause in your life. You may have tried dismissing the problem as not being very important-- does it really matter if you cannot recall what you ate for breakfast, or the name of your High School English teacher? However, the issue with attempting to dismiss little facts as being unimportant or irrelevant is that if you attempt to be selective about what you deem important enough to remember, your lack of clarity for what you deem inconsequential can easily spill over onto many things which you should and must be able to recall clearly. For example, if you try to disregard the fact that you cannot remember what you had for breakfast, you can just as easily forget whether or not you deposited your paycheck in the bank. While it is generally not necessary for a person to have complete clear recall for every single aspect of their entire lives, not only is it a good thing but it can be quite beneficial. You will no longer have to rely on other people to remind you of facts, nor deal with the annoying habit of having to make notes in order to remember everything that you need to do. In other words, you do not need to cope with an impaired memory causing you an assortment of impairments in your functioning. All of the facts, situations, and details have already found their way into your brain. The key in utilizing this to your best advantage rests on your brain being able to process all of this information in a manner that it will always be on-hand when you need or wish to have it. For those who have assumed that they must rely on luck, chance, or other people to keep them informed of everything which is already stored in their brains, this is a wonderful breakthrough. If you can imagine how much easier, and how much more enjoyable, your everyday life can be if only you had the ability to clearly recall any fact or event whenever you wished to do so, you will be pleasantly surprised to discover that all you need to do in order to gain this trait is for your brain to learn how to do it. You will then have your entire life at your command! Brain State Conditioning is based on many aspects of science in Biofeedback and in Neurofeedback which have been historically used to assist people to over-come pathologies. www.theevolutionarybrain.com |
